Specifications
Bremco combination beams for mobile cranes are made to order in a range of rated capacities. These beams allow the crane operator to take one beam to site with this tonnage capacity, eliminating the need to deliver a second beam to site in an additional vehicle. It also includes a custom bracket system for the beam to attach to the front of the AT40 crane.
The bracket system is suitable for most mobile pick and carry cranes including Franna, Tidd, Humma, and Kato.

Finish: painted enamel. All models are fully welded and individually proof-load tested to AS4991, and supplied with a certificate of conformance and compliance plate.
How a mobile combination beam works
A mobile combination beam transfers the crane’s lifting force to multiple points on the load.
Once on site, depending on headroom and the item being lifted, the crane operator and rigger will decide on whether to use the combination beam as a lifting beam (single point lift) or spreader beam (multiple-leg chain sling).
Depending on the lifting plan, the Bremco mobile crane combination beam can:
- Distribute the load across several points
- Keep your load stable and level while it is being moved
- Prevent your load from deforming or bending
- Spread the lifting points apart to ensure the load is balanced correctly.
Benefits of a mobile crane spreader beam
- A mobile crane combination beam can be delivered to site with the crane, eliminating the need for extra vehicle transportation and associated site-delivery costs.
- The beams generally attach to the mobile crane in a position that can be easily accessed by the rigger to attach shackles, chains, and slings, as required, thus minimising unsafe manual handling practices.
- Setup of the beam can be done in place as a spreader by moving the internal extension arms in and out while still attached to the crane bracket supports. This is usually performed at a safe height.
For use in Australia, the lifting equipment on cranes, excluding man cages must be proof load tested under AS4991-2004. Bremco tests every beam manufactured in our workshop to ensure every product is of the highest quality.
All product engineering records are retained, including test certificates and welding procedure results.
