Before using a crane beam it is essential to:
- Ensure the lifting bin meets Australian Standards and has the compliance plate attached and it’s tested and tagged to AS4991.
- Never exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL)
- Inspect all equipment including the lifting bins, lifting, points, hooks, and shackles to identify any deformities, cracks or other damage before use.
- Perform a lift trial to verify load balance and stability before lifting the bin.
