Frequently Asked Questions

A warehouse trolley is a wheeled platform that’s designed to help with moving items from one place to another. Typically built with 4 wheels and one or more shelves or platforms, a warehouse trolley is a simple materials handling device that anyone can use with little or no training.
Warehouse trolleys are primarily used to move, transport and store goods in a range of materials handling environments. Using a warehouse trolley dramatically reduces the strain on employees and allows everyone to move objects that would be too big, heavy or awkward to move manually.
Heavy duty warehouse trolleys are built with thicker steels, stronger wheels and more robust construction to carry heavier loads. While a standard warehouse trolley can hold several hundred kilograms, a heavy duty warehouse trolley could be capable of carrying significantly more.
Warehouse trolleys should always be pushed rather than pulled. Pulling a trolley creates tripping hazards, and it increases the risk of running over your own feet or having the trolley tip over. Be aware of slopes or uneven ground, and be mindful of anyone working in the area around you.
To make warehouse trolleys as safe as possible, all items should be loaded securely, with the heaviest items placed down low. A warehouse trolley with a low centre of gravity reduces the risk of tipping or injury.
